I have struggled with dry skin and eczema for the majority of my life. I’ve tried over-the-counter ointments, prescription creams, and every lotion you can think of for dry skin. It wasn’t until I started looking at more natural remedies when I finally saw some relief. I began using essential oils and almond oil and coconut oil to create a body oil for my skin and haven’t looked back since.

If you struggle from dry skin, you can follow this recipe that I have perfected for my skin. I use a combination of essential oils and carrier oils to create the perfect blend for my skin. I suggest reading Essential Oils For Beginners And How To Use Them before you create your mix.
Safety Warning: When using essential oils, be sure to properly dilute them! As a general rule, maintain 1-3% dilution. 6 drops of essential oil and 1oz of the carrier equals 1% dilution. Always test before use and consult a medical professional before use if you are pregnant, taking any medication, or have any medical conditions.
From Dry Skin to Healthy Skin
It took me some time to come up with the best oil blend for my skin. I used the method of trial and error to create the best mix. Each time I made a new blend I would ensure that I had the ingredients listed somewhere to refer to just in case the blend was successful.
I have had some mixes that weren’t as moisturizing and some that weren’t moisturizing enough. But I have finally come up with the perfect mix for my dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone skin. I use this oil blend on my entire body after I shower and then I apply my DIY shea butter mix.
Just as another disclaimer, please test out the essential and carrier oils before applying to your skin. Just because this mix is perfect for me, does not mean it will work for you! Be sure to refer to my essential oils guide for beginners to learn the properties of each essential oil so you can choose the ones for your skin.
